When I started writing Episend in 2007, I originally saw it as a way to overcome the limitations of email. It was frustrating to try to send videos and images to friends and family (browsing for each individual file, then uploading each one, etc.). Of course, there is always Facebook (which I use), but what if I want people to download the originals so they can print or edit them? And what if I only want certain people to look at them but I don't want to go through the hassle of creating some kind of security group?
These questions lead to more questions. What about files I create for clients or vendors? What if these files are too big to be attached? Yes, I can use a large file sharing service, but what if I want to send people more than just a link to each file? What if I want to send a bunch of files along with descriptions or instructions on what the files are and in what order to look at them?
In the end, the product I developed can be used to create messages that solve all these problems. Episend messages can contain any kind of files you want and you can send them to anyone you want. But it's more than that. These messages can be as simple or artistic as you want, so you can use them as invitations and event recaps. You can clone and password protect them, so they can be used as individually customized download pages for digital content you sell to customers. And you always have control over your Episend messages, even after they're sent and shared. If you make changes to them, you don't have to send a new version out. People can refresh the message and see your changes.
The best part is that you don't need Episend to view Episend messages. So you can send them to anyone and they can see and interact with them in their computer's browser.
Episend utilizes the Amazon Cloud for all data and content storage and delivery so your files and messages are safe and secure. You should also know that there are no ads, cookies, spyware, tracking, or any other type of data mining. You own your files at all times. Episend just helps you get them to other people easily.
Please sign up for Episend... you don't even need to create an account. Then, watch the video tutorials I created to get quickly up to speed using it. If you like it, I hope you will upgrade to the paid version, which is only $15 a year for personal use.
Finally, I'd very much appreciate if you'd help me spread the word about Episend. It is something that can help a lot of people, and I need to rely on a lot of word of mouth marketing to get it out there.
Thanks so much,
